IFRS 17 is on the horizon and will represent a new era in terms of the presentation of the Insurer’s financial statements. The impact of the new standard will vary significantly from company to company, but it is certain to see many and various impacts. Due to the technical complexity of the standard, insurers will need to start working now on educating their stakeholders, assessing the impact and build a clear understanding of the requirements and helping them to successfully embed the changes.
